A Message from Telford Raiders senior player Andrew Farrell:

For those of you who don't know or haven't heard somehow I've been talked into doing the Everest Step Challenge with Chris Watson, Pom Tutt and Paul Szehofner. Between us we will be climbing 29000 foot on a step machine in Oakengates Leisure Centre on 17th Dec in support of Birmingham Children's Hospital. In order to take on this challenge

Chris Paul and Pom are working hard squeezing in as much traning in possible. I will be taking a different challenge by carbo loading for 16 days straight. Our sweat, blood (I'm assuming Pom may get injured at some point) and tears are nothing without your support. You can back our efforts at http://www.justgiving.com/telford-raiders

I know times are hard but if you can give £1 or a £1000 you are helping to change young people's lives for the better there aren't enough ways to say thank you to our gratitude.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

The Raiders are already starting to build towards season 2012. We currently have two sessions a week to get you in the mood for the coming season (and to help work off the Xmas excesses!!)

SENIORS (15+) Touch Rugby restarts on Mon 9^th Jan 7 – 8pm on Astroturf at Oakengates Leisure Centre.

JUNIORS (yrs 5 – 11) Saturday training is back up and running from Saturday 14th January 12:15-1:15 in the Sports Hall at: the new Abraham Darby Sports Centre. Ironbridge Road, Madeley TF7 5HX

U18s Sights Set On England Selection

Congratulations to 3 Telford Raiders players, Ben Lewis, Ryan Home and Denham Samuels on their selection for the Midlands U18s squad announced for England Selection tournament.

The Midlands U18s squad will face their final test of the year when they travel to the U18s National Carnival on Saturday at West Park RFC, Bramhope, Leeds on Saturday 15th October.
